Tour begins at 9.30am at Puketitiri Lodge, located at 4948 Puketitiri Rd, Napier. Enjoy a whole day in one of New Zealand’s precious forests, guided by local Māori kaitiaki (guardians) as they escort you into a magical paradise. This price includes 1-2 manuhiri (visitors). Experience a bucket list trip of a lifetime.


Self drive to Puketitiri Lodge, an hour’s drive from Napier CBD, or we can arrange our local driver to pick up/drop off to your accommodation at an additional cost.
Imagine being taken off the busy, hectic modern streets, and transported back into Tāne Mahuta Atua (God of forest) to trees, all creatures great and small, guided by Whaea Marlene and kaiwhakairo carvers Piripi/Layton, as they guide you through ngahere urutapu (Virgin forest), sacred awa (river) waters bursting with Mauri (life force), growth, and reincarnation. A bespoke and personal journey high in the mountains where you are also welcomed in the traditional Māori way. Shown sacred instruments, ancient kōrero (native language) of manu (birds), insects, plus warm manākitanga (hospitality) including wai Māori (fresh water) 💧kaimoana (seafood), and ngahere kai (forest food).
