Imagine being taken off the busy, hectic modern streets, and transported back into Tāne Mahuta Atua (God of forest) to trees, all creatures great and small, guided by Whaea Marlene and kaiwhakairo carvers Piripi/Layton, as they guide you through ngahere urutapu (Virgin forest), sacred awa (river) waters bursting with Mauri (life force), growth, and reincarnation. A bespoke and private journey high in the mountains where you are also welcomed in the traditional Māori way. Shown sacred instruments, ancient kōrero (native language) of manu (birds), insects, plus warm manākitanga (hospitality) including wai Māori (fresh water) kaimoana (seafood), and ngahere kai (forest food).
