 Day 1     Madrid – Trujillo – Lisbon

Depart at 0800 AM from Madrid meeting point. Depart for the Portuguese border towards Lisbon via a visit to the region of Extremadura. You will explore one of the best-preserved and most beautiful towns in Spain, Trujillo. In the early afternoon you will arrive in Lisbon. Enjoy an optional Fado (traditional Portuguese music) Show.

Day 2     Lisbon

After breakfast enjoy a morning city sightseeing tour of Lisbon taking in sights such as the Alfama district, Tower of Belem and the Jeronimos Monastery which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon you will have free time to explore this city at your own leisure. Alternatively there is an optional tour to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril.

Day 3     Lisbon – Fatima – Lisbon

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Fatima and explore at your own leisure. In the afternoon return back to the Lisbon for afternoon at own leisure.

Day 4     Lisbon – Caceres – Cordoba

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart back to the Spanish border and continue to Caceres to explore this ancient city. Visit its old town which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon depart for Cordoba where dinner is provided.

Day 5     Cordoba – Seville

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit the famous Mosque-Cathedral and narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter. After you will continue to Seville where dinner is provided and optional flamenco show is on offer.

Day 6     Seville

After breakfast begin a half-day city tour of Seville visiting the Barrio de Santa Cruz with its narrow streets, the Parque de Maria Luisa and Plaza de Espana. The rest of the afternoon is yours at leisure. You can join an optional artistic tour which includes a visit to the palace Royal Alcazar of Seville.Dinner is provided.

Day 7     Seville – Ronda – Marbella

After breakfast depart for Ronda. Once you arrive in Ronda you will have free time to explore its charm, particularly in the old town area. It is famous worldwide for its dramatic escarpments and views, and for the deep El Tajo gorge which overlooks the Guadalevin and surrounding countryside. In the afternoon you will continue onto the coastal city of Marbella. Dinner is provided.

Day 8     Marbella

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is yours to explore this glamorous city. It’s fair to say there is a little part of history to be found in every corner of the Old Quarter, with its Moorish architecture and famous Los Naranjos Plaza also known as “Orange Square”. Dinner is provided.

Day 9     Marbella

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is a full leisure day. Perhaps walk the “Golden Mile” which is a stretch between Marbella and Puerto Banus, on which are located some of the most luxurious residences in Marbella, such as the Palace of King Fahd, as well as some landmark hotels, among them the Melia Don Pepe, Hotel Marbella Club and the Puente Romano Hotel.

Day 10     Marbella – Tangier – Rabat – Casablanca

After breakfast depart for Algeciras or Tarifa to board ferry crossing the Strait of Gibraltar towards the top of Africa. After clearing customs you will enjoy a brief city tour of Tangier. After you will depart for Rabat for a walking tour of the capital of Morocco. It’s a grand city, full of fine buildings and welcoming people, with plenty to see and plenty to do.In the early evening you will arrive in Casablanca where dinner is provided.

Day 11     Casablanca – Marrakech

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a brief city tour of Morocco’s most famous city, Casablanca. Depart for the “Land of God” Marrakech where you will take a city tour and take in the magnificent Djemaa El-Fna Square which is full of musicians, dancers and story tellers. Dinner is provided.

Day 12     Marrakech – Meknes – Fes

Breakfast at the hotel. The morning is yours to explore Marrakech, perhaps take a visit to the Koutoubia Mosque (only viewable from the outside for non-Muslims), or take a stroll through the markets of Marrakech (adjacent to Djemaa E-Fna). Continue onto Meknes and enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of this old walled city. In the early evening you will arrive in Fes where dinner is provided.

Day 13     Fes

After breakfast begin a half-day city tour of Fes. Within its sturdy walls you’ll find the place where old Morocco still exists, in the elaborate architecture, the historic medina and the throngs of people that make their home here. The rest of your afternoon is yours to explore more of this fascinating city or surrounding areas such as the ancient Roman site of Volubilis.

Day 14     Fes – Tangier – Marbella 

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be departing Morocco via Tangier to the ferry terminal for arrival back to Spain. Once you arrive back in mainland Europe, continue onto the the coastal city of Marbella. Dinner is provided.

Day 15     Marbella – Granada

After breakfast continue to Granada. You will get the opportunity to visit The Alhambra and Generalife Gardens which is Europe’s love letter to Moorish culture, a place where fountains trickle, leaves rustle, and ancient spirits seem to mysteriously linger. In the early evening you can join an optional tour through Sacramonte which is a traditional neighbourhood where the gypsy communities relocated after the fall of the Moorish empire.  Visitors flock here to watch the famous Gitano Flamenco dancing shows. Dinner is provided.

Day 16     Granada – Toledo – Madrid

Breakfast at the hotel. You will visit the “Imperial City” of Toledo which has been declared a World Heritage Site due to its extensive cultural and monumental co-existence of Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures. Behind its walls Toledo preserves an artistic and cultural legacy in the form of churches, palaces, fortresses, mosques and synagogues. You will have a sightseeing tour of Toledo followed by lunch, before departing in the late afternoon.
