Description
Enjoy a small, personal Rotorua day tour with a local Māori guide, learning about Māori history and culture when you visit an ancestral Māori village. Experience the ‘mauri’ (life-force) and ‘wairua’ (spirit) when you are guided through an ancient forest to learn about ‘rongoa’ the medicinal properties of native trees and plants. Pick kawakawa to make a cleansing tea, accompanied with a hand-crafted kai (lunch) including native foods, whilst overlooking Lake Rotoiti. Afterwards, journey out to geothermal hot healing mineral springs to rejuvenate and relax.
